DEAN AND KAREN TILTON VISITED MAQUOKETA THIS WEEK (UP THIS WAY ALSO FOR A CHICAGO-AREA WEDDING) AND BOTH DOING WELL. THEY HAVE LIVED AT "THE VILLAGES" FLORIDA OVER 9 YEARS AND IN THAT TIME,
THE POPULATION HAS GROWN FROM ABOUT 50,000 TO OVER 100,000.
OVER 30 GOLF COURSES. DEAN PLAYS QUITE A BIT OF GOLF AND KAREN
HAS LEARNED TO BE A GOOD CLOWN AND MAGICIAN.
THE JACKSON COUNTY MUSEUM IS OPEN SUNDAY AFTERNOONS,
INCLUDING THE RE-WORKED MACHINE SHED. IT NOW HAS A BLACKSMITH
SHOP IN ADDITION TO A LOG CABIN. TAKE THE KIDS AND SHOW THEM HOW
THINGS WERE DONE IN MAQUOKETA OVER A HUNDRED YEARS AGO.
IN CROSS COUNTRY AT DEWITT YESTERDAY, THE MAQUOKETA BOYS TOOK
6TH PLACE, AHEAD OF DEWITT AND THE GIRLS FINISHED NEAR THE BOTTOM.
THE TOP RUNNER FOR MAQUOKETA WAS CALE GENT AND THE GIRLS
TOP FINISHER WAS JANEY SAUDERS.
MAYOR DON SCHWENKER HAS APPOINTED CHUCK CURRENT TO THE CITY
TREE BOARD. CURRENT RECENTLY RETURNED TO MAQUOKETA TO
LIVE AND WORK.

RED HENTON, DAUGHTER JUDY, AND GRANDAUGHTER BROOKE AND COMPANY, WILL PUT ON A COUNTRY MUSIC SHOW TOMORROW NIGHT

BIG CHILI COOK-OFF AT ANDREW TOMORROW, TO RAISE FUNDS TO
DO WORK AT THE OLD OLD COUNTY JAIL.

THE BUILDING IS OWNED BY CLAY ROMER AND THE FRONT WAS REDONE FOR THE NEW BUSINESS. THE SIGN WILL BE LIGHTED AT NIGHT. NOTE

THIS IS ONE OF 6 SMALL ROOMS ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE BUILDING.
HERE IS ONE (ONE OF 3) LEVEL 1 TANNING BEDS. YOU TAN FOR 20 MINUTES AND CAN DO A TAN SESSION SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK. THERE IS ALSO A LEVEL 2 BED AND ONE LEVEL 3 BED. THESE LARGER TANNING BEDS WORK FASTER. IN THESE, YOUR LENGTH OF STAY IS 12 MINUTES AND YOU
CAN VISIT ONLY A COUPLE TIMES A WEEK.
THIS ROOM HAS THE "SPRAY-ON" BOOTH. YOUR TAN IS SPRAYED-ON AND
WILL LAST ABOUT 1 WEEK. MAYBE YOU HAVE TO BE IN A WEDDING AND WANT A QUICK TAN? OR SEE HOW A TAN WOULD LOOK?
THERE ARE PRODUCTS ON THIS SHELF THAT WILL
ENHANCE AND MAINTAIN YOUR TAN.

FRI 9 - 6 SAT 9 - 3 AND SUN 11-3
