SUNNY, WINDY AND HIGH OF 66 TODAY.
BUT MUCH COOLER WEATHER IS IN THE FORECAST FOR
MOST OF THE WEEK...AND A LITTLE RAIN TOO.
FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO A CHIMNEY FIRE THIS MORNING AT THE
MAQUOKETA COMPANY ON JACOBSEN DRIVE AND THIS AFTERNOON TO A BARN FIRE. THE CHIMNEY FIRE WAS QUICKLY PUT OUT AND I HAVE
NO DETAILS YET ON THE BARN FIRE.
TWO BROTHERS COLLIDED WITH EACH OTHER ON MOTORCYCLES
YESTERDAY AFTERNOON, SENDING ONE TO THE HOSITAL.
JEREMY McCUTCHEON, 33, OF MAQUOKETA AND ERIC McCUTCHEON, AGE 30, OF MAQUOKETA, WERE BOTH EASTBOUND ON ROCKDALE ROAD AT 3:30 P.M.
JEREMY SLOWED TO TURN LEFT IN A DRIVEWAY AND ERIC FAILED TO
SLOW AND HIT THE BACK OF HIS BROTHER'S CYCLE. ERIC WAS TAKEN
TO THE HOSPITAL WITH MAJOR INJURIES AND TRANSFERRED BY MED FORCE TO I BELIEVE IOWA CITY. AROUND $1,000 DAMAGE TO EACH CYCLE, A 2003 SUZUKI AND A 1994 YAMAHA. NO CHARGES FILED.
HAVE A GOOD WEEK.
