THE HOSPITAL YESTERDAY PURCHASED A NEW AMBULANCE.
THE LOW OF 3 BIDS WAS $168,917. IT WILL BE DELIVERED IN AUGUST AND WILL COME OUT OF NEXT YEAR'S FISCAL BUDGET. THE 2014 FORD DIESEL CHASIS WILL BE PURCHASED THROUGH BURNETT-THIEL FORD IN MAQUOKETA AND A CUSTOM-MADE BOX WILL THEN BE INSTALLED.
ONE OF THE 3 NOW OWNED BY THE HOSPITAL, A 2006 MODEL, IS OUT OF SERVICE AND PART OF THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT WAS THAT THE HOSPITAL WILL GET A LOANER AMBULANCE UNTIL THE NEW ONE IS
DELIVERED.
CONGRATULATIONS TO KAREN PHILLIPS AT THE HOSPITAL! THE RN NURSE IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM HAS BEEN CHOSEN AS ONE OF THE 100 GREAT IOWA NURSES. SHE HAS BEEN WITH THE HOSPITAL HERE SINCE 1981.
MORE THAN 500 NOMINATIONS WERE RECEIVED. SHE IS THE 5TH FROM OUR HOSPITAL OVER THE YEARS TO RECEIVE THE DISTINCTION.
BECAUSE OF EXPANSION AND REMODELING, THE MAQUOKETA ART EXPERIENCE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA WILL BE CLOSED UNTIL NEXT
THURSDAY, APRIL 3RD. LOOK FOR BIGGER AND BETTER REASONS TO
