SEVERAL TRIES.
FINIALLY MADE IT TO WORK LATE WITH NANCY'S FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE.
RAIN, SLEET AND ICE ALL DAY TODAY.
AT 3:30, HEARD THERE WERE 5 CARS IN THE DITCH BETWEEN MAQUOKETA
AND HIGHWAY 136, PLUS TWO ACCIDENTS.
HIGH TODAY 24.
WINTER STARTS AT 11:11 A.M. TOMORROW.

LAST NIGHT IN WRESTLING, THE MAQUOKETA CARDINAL TEAM (ONE SENIOR) LOST TO WESTERN DUBUQUE 64 TO 10 AND LATER IN EVENING, LOST TO
DEWITT 48 TO 24. BEAU BOWMAN AND LOGAN MAYBERRY WON BOTH OF
THEIR MATCHES.
THERE WAS MORE EXCITEMENT THAN NORMAL LAST NIGHT AT TIMBER LANES IN MAQUOKETA BECAUSE LEFTHANDED BOWLER JASON GIBSON,
AGE 38, ROLLED A PERFECT 300 GAME IN THE SUBURBAN LEAGUE, ONE OF THE BEST LEAGUES IN TOWN. HE ENDED UP WITH A FANTASTIC 837 SERIES, 140 PINS OVER HIS AVERAGE. HE BOWLS WITH THE "ELWOOD GUTTER
WORKS" TEAM WHICH IS IN FIRST PLACE IN THE LEAGUE, 14 GAMES IN FRONT OF THE 2ND PLACE TEAM.
