CLOUDY, WET AND 39 FOR THE HIGH TODAY.

JUST AFTER 2 AM THIS MORNING, ON HIGHWAY 62 NEAR ANDREW, BRANDON
SPRINGER, AGE 18, WAS IN AN ACCIDENT. HE WAS EAST BOUND, CROSSED THE
CENTERLINE AND TRAVELLED NEARLY 200 FEET ON THE OPPOSITE SHOULDER.
HIS CAR THEN STRUCK A DRIVEWAY AND SOME MAILBOXES, WENT AIRBORNE FOR OVER 100 FEET, ROLLED AND THEN CAME TO REST ON ITS WHEELS. HE WAS
TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL IN MAQUOKETA WHERE HE WAS TREATED AND
RELEASED. HE WAS ALONE AND THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS, PLUS THERE WAS DAMAGE ESTIMATED AT $100 DONE TO MAILBOXES. HE WAS CHARGED BY
JACKSON COUNTY DEPUTY GRUVER WITH FAILING TO HAVE HIS VEHICLE UNDER CONTROL AND FAILING TO PROVE SECURITY.

THE JACKSON COUNTY REGIONAL HEALTH CENTER WILL BE HELPING PATIENTS
REST EASIER BY OFFERING SLEEP SERVICES BEGINNING THIS SUMMER.
MINOR RENOVATION WILL TRANSFORM TWO AVAILABLE ROOMS AT THE
HOSPITAL INTO SUITE-LIKE BEDROOMS FOR SLEEP STUDIES. THE STUDIES WILL BE AVAILABLE THURSDAY AND FRIDAY NIGHTS. THE SLEEP DISORDER PROGRAM WILL BE AFFILIATED WITH THE NATIONALLY ACCREDITED GENESIS SLEEP DISORDER CENTER, WHICH CURRENTLY OPERATES 18 BEDS FOR THE DIAGNOSIS OF SLEEP DISORDERS. SLEEP DISORDERS MAY BE ONE OF THE MOST OVERLOOKED AND UNDIAGNOSED CONDITIONS SUFFERED BY AMERICANS, SAYS GENESIS.

ANOTHER GAS DRIVE-OFF AT CASEY'S ON WESTGATE DRIVE YESTERDAY.

SOMEONE CUT A LOCK AND STOLE AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF COPPER WIRE.

TED AND PAT MAZE ARE BACK FROM A WINTER OUTING DOWN IN ARIZONA.
THEY HAD A GOOD TIME AND WE ARE GLAD TO HAVE TED BACK AT ROTARY.
HE WILL SOON START ORGANIZING ANOTHER SUMMER ICE CREAM SOCIAL
TO BE SPONSORED BY ROTARY.
