A JOINT MEETING BETWEEN ANDREW AND MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARDS
WILL BE AT 6 TONIGHT, AT THE MCHS LIBRARY. THE TWO BOARDS WILL
TALK ABOUT A WHOLE GRADE SHARING AGREEMENT. ANDREW PLANS TO
SEND ITS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS TO BOTH MAQUOKETA AND BELLEVUE
NEXT YEAR. THE AGREEMENT IS EXPECTED TO BE SIMILAR TO THAT BETWEEN
MAQUOKETA AND DELWOOD, WHICH HAS BEEN IN OPERATION FOR MORE THAN
20 YEARS.
TWO VEHICLE THEFTS WERE REPORTED OVER THE WEEKEND. CARL NEMMBERS OF MILL CREEK ROAD SAID SOMEONE TOOK AN OLD WORK CAR. THEN LATER, IT WAS FOUND NEAR HIS HOME, OUT OF GAS.
AND JOSEPH HUNTER OF 5TH STREET IN MAQUOKETA REPORTED SOMEONE
TOK HIS 1998 MERCURY TRACER. THE KEYS HAD BEEN LEFT IN THE VEHICLE.
IT IS STILL MISSING.
MAQUOKETA FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO A GRASS FIRE AT THE LARRY HAYWARD
FIELD ON 182ND AVENUE LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON. FIREMEN WERE THERE FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES.

IN SPORTS: ADAM HEPKER, FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, HAS BEEN NAMED ASSISTANT BASKETBALL COACH AT MID AMERICA NAZARINE UNIVERSITY
IN OLATHE, KANSAS. HE IS A GRAD OF THE UNIVERSITY AND WAS AN ALL AMERICAN POINT GUARD IN THEIR BASKETBALL PROGRAM, STARTING ALL 4 YEARS. AFTER GRADUATION, HE PLAYED PROFESSIONAL BASKETBALL IN GERMANY. HE WILL WORK PRIMARILY WITH THE OFFENSE AND GUARDS AND WILL ASSIST WITH RECRUITING. HE AND HIS WIFE AMY, ALSO A TEACHER, LIVE IN OLATHE.
I WILL BE WITH THE KMAQ TRAVEL BUS TO BRANSON THE REST OF THIS
