FUNDING FOR SOME CLEAN-UP. ALSO, IIW ENGINEERING IS PREPARING PLANS FOR A PROJECT DOWNSTREAM WHICH WILL REBUILD THE BANK. POPP SAID THAT PROJECT WILL ALSO BE 100 PERCENT PAID BY FEMA.
MANY, MANY YEARS AGO SEVERAL OLD CAR BODIES WERE PUT IN THE RIVER TO
STABALIZE THE RIVER BANK. AT THE TIME, WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THE
IDEA SAID EVENTUALLY THEY WOULD NOT BE SEEN BECAUSE OF FILL-IN SILK, ETC.
THEY CAN STILL BE SEEN. POPP TOLD MAYOR MESSERLI THAT DURING THE UPCOMING CLEAN-UP, THE CAR BODIES WILL STAY.
