GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR GROUPS AND ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVING AND SERVING JACKSON COUNTY YOUTH. "THE PHILANTHROPY BOARD" IN JACKSON COUNTY HAS ANNOUNCED THAT GRANT APPLICATIONS ARE NOW AVAILABLE ON www.maqarea.org AND CAN BE FOUND UNDER THE "YOUTH PHILANTROPY BOARD" TAB. GRANT APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL APRIL 1ST. THIS NEW BOARD IS A COOPERATIVE EFFORT OF THE MAQUOKETA AREA COMMUNITY FOUNDATION AND THE JACKSON COUNTY ISU EXTENSION SERVICE.
THE NEW BOARD WAS CREATED TO PROVIDE JACKSON COUNTY STUDENTS AN OPPORTUNITY TO EXAMINE AND IDENTIFY THE NEEDS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES AND TO MAKE GRANTS TO GROUPS STRIVING TO MEET THOSE NEEDS.
