NELSON SAID NO OTHER HIGH SCHOOL IN THE COUNTRY IS SUPPORTED BY OVER 90 PERCENT USE. HE ATTRIBUTES SOME OF IT TO A CLOSED CAMPUS AT THE HIGH SCHOOL AND A NEW LARGER CAFETERIA. HE SAID THE STUDENTS EAT IN FOUR SHIFTS AND IT HAS BECOME MORE OF A SOCIAL ATMOSPHER BECAUSE THERE'S MORE ROOM.

AS OF MID WEEK THIS WEEK, THE JACKSON COUNTY AUDITOR'S OFFICE HAD SEEN 2,060 ABSENTEE BALLOT REQUESTS. THEY ARE AVERAGING ABOUT 100 A DAY IN THE AUDITOR'S OFFICE. THERE WERE 3,000 ABSENTEE BALLOTS FOR THE LAST GENERAL ELECTION. SO, THIS YEAR SHOULD BEAT THAT.'
