IT HAS RAINED ALL DAY TODAY. MORE TONIGHT. MORE TOMORROW.
HIGH TODAY, 61.

THE MAQUOKETA COMMUNITY AIRPORT HAS RECEIVED A FEDERAL GRANT
TO HELP PAY FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE FORMER B-CAP LAND AND BUILDINGS
RIGHT NEXT TO THE AIRPORT. THE GRANT WAS FOR $128,250 AND THE CITY MATCH WILL BE 5-PERCENT OR $6,412. THE CITY WILL BUY THE PROPERTY FROM
A BANK IN WYOMING, IOWA.
CITY MANAGER BRIAN WAGNER SAID THE LONG-TERM PLANS FOR THE NEARLY 4 ACRES, INCLUDE A CROSS RUNWAY AT THE AIRPORT. AND THAT PLAN WOULD
