IT WAS FOGGY THIS MORNING AND WE HAD NO SUNSHINE TODAY AND A HIGH IN THE LOW 50'S. YESTERDAY WE GOT
3/100 OF AN INCH OF RAIN, OUR FIRST RAIN IN NOVEMBER.
LAST NOVEMBER, WE GOT AROUND 2 1/2 INCHES. SNOW IS IN THE FORECAST FOR MID-WEEK. WE COULD HAVE A WHITE
THANKSGIVING AND A HIGH THURSDAY IN THE LOW 30'S ..AND A LOW THURSDAY NIGHT AROUND 15.

MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.'

A 21 YEAR OLD MAQUOKETA MAN WAS TAKEN TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS BY AIR AMBULANCE SATURDAY NIGHT AFTER SUFFERING A GUNSHOT WOUND IN JONES COUNTY. HIS NAME HAS NOT BEEN RELEASED. THE GUNSHOT INCIDENT (POSSIBLY AN ACCIDENT) WAS REPORTED AT 10:22 SATURDAY NIGHT ON 20TH AVENUE, RURAL WYOMING. WHEN DEPUTIES ARRIVED, THE MAQUOKETA MAN HAD A SINGLE GUNSHOT WOUND TO THE UPPER ABDOMEN. WE SHOULD HAVE MORE DETAILS ON THIS INCIDENT TOMORROW.

FIVE MORE DEER ACCIDENTS IN JACKSON COUNTY OVER THE WEEKEND. DIANE LARSEN OF MAQUOKETA HIT ONE SUNDAY NIGHT.

JENNIFER MCKEE, AGE 43, OF MAQUOKETA WAS IN A CAR
ACCIDENT ON 150TH AVENUE IN CLINTON COUNTY. SHE HIT
A DEER THAT ENTERED THE ROAD AND WHEN SHE SWERVED TO AVOID THE ANIMAL, SHE LOST CONTROL AND IT WENT INTO THE DITCH. SHE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL IN MAQUOKETA BY OXFORD JUNCTION AMBULANCE AND TREATED FOR POSSIBLE INJURIES. HER 2002 FORD MUSTANG HAD DAMAGES LISTED AT $5,000.

ALSO, AN ELDERLY CALAMUS COUPLE WAS DRIVING AT RURAL DEWITT SUNDAY AND HIT A DEER. IT LANDED ON THE WINDSHIELD, BROKE THE WINDSHIELD AND THE DEER THEN LANDED IN THE FRONT PASSENGER COMPARTMENT. THE WOMAN WAS TAKEN TO THE DEWITT HOSPITAL WITH POSSIBLE INJURIES.

HAD A GREAT TIME IN BRANSON WITH 54 GUESTS. BRANSON WAS VERY BUSY AND MORE BUILDING IS GOING ON IN ALL AREAS OF THE BOOMING CITY. HAD A SCARE THOUGH. OUR BUS BROKE DOWN ON THE WAY AND IT TOOK NEARLY 2-HOURS FOR A MECHANIC TO GET US BACK ON THE ROAD. WE SKIPPED A BREAKFAST STOP AND GOT BACK ON THE TIME SCHEDULE.
