THE GRAND CHAMPION STEER NAMED YESTERDAY AT THE CLINTON COUNTY FAIR WAS SHOWN BY JUSTINA FROST, OF DEWITT, WHO WILL
BE A SENIOR AT DEWITT HIGH SCHOOL THIS FALL. HER PARENTS ARE JOEL FROST AND A.J. KUNDE. JOEL GRADUATED FROM MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL AND HAS BEEN THE AG AND FFA HEAD AT NORTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL IN GOOSELAKE THE LAST 8 YEARS.
THE MAQUOKETA CITY COUNCIL HAD NOW DECIDED TO KEEP THE INTERSECTION OF QUARRY AND MAIN A FOUR-WAY STOP, WITH NO
STOP AND GO LIGHTS. THE OLD LIGHTS ARE NOT REPAIRABLE.
TEMPORARY SIGNS ARE NOW IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION.
MEGAN FLYNN IS THE 2006 JACKSON COUNTY FAIR QUEEN, CHOOSEN DURING CEREMONIES YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
SHE WAS ONE OF 8 COMPETING AND IS THE DAUGHTER OF STEVE AND JUNE FLYNN OF MAQUOKETA AND A 2006 GRADUATE OF MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL. SHE PLANS TO ATTEND IOWA STATE THIS FALL.
