SCOTT AND VICKI HANSEN OF MAQUOKETA ARE PARENTS OF A GIRL BORN SUNDAY AT THE LOCAL HOSPITAL GRANDPARENTS ARE LINDA HANSEN OF MAQUOKETA AND DOUG HANSEN OF LOST NATION. ALSO MIKE AND CONNIE YAROLEM OF BALDWIN.

DELORES KLEIN AS PRESENTED WITH A LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD FOR HERE WORK WITH THE AMERICAN RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVES IN MAQUOKETA. SHE HAS BEEN ORGANIZING BLOOD DRIVES IN MAQUOKETA FOR 25 YEARS. SHE RECEIVED THE AWARD DURING A LUNCHEON HELD AT THE DIAMOND JO CASINO IN DUBUQUE.

RON AND SHIRLEY MILLER ARE IN MAQUOKETA FOR A VISIT AND DO NOT MISS THE ARIZONA HEAT. THEY WILL GO BACK HOWEVER. HAD LUNCH WITH THEM TODAY AND BOTH ARE LOOKING GOOD AND FEELING GOOD. SAW PICTURES OF THEIR NEW CONDO AND IT'S NEAT .....THEY MOVED (FOR THE21ST TIME IN 50 YEARS OF MARRIAGE) INTO IT LAST DECEMBER. RON IS AN EXPERT POOL PLAYER AND WILL BE GIVING LESSONS DOWN THERE THIS FALL.

CAROLYN KECK, DAUGHTER OF PHOEBE KECK OF MAQUOKETA, WAS ORDAINED A PRIEST IN CEREMONIES AT ST. MARGARET'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN DAYTON, OHIO, IN LATE JUNE.
EARLIER IN THE MONTH, SHE GRADUATED FROM SEABURY-WESTERN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY IN EVANSTON, ILLINOIS, RECEIVING A MASTERS OF DIVINITY DEGREE. JULY 1ST, SHE BEGAN SERVING ST. EDWARD'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH IN WHITEHALL, OHIO, A SUPBERB OF COLUMBUS. SHE WAS A 1970 MCHS GRADUATE.

KAREN (NIMS) JOHNSON RETIRED JULY 1ST FROM HER POSITION IN THE STUDENT HOUSING OFFICE OF CENTRAL MISSOURI STATE UNIVERSITY IN WARRENSBURG, OHIO.
