THE HOUSING BOARD, CITY COUNCIL COMMITTEE AND EAST CENTRAL INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGENCY MET FOR NEARLY 2 HOURS LAST NIGHT TO HAMMER OUT AN AGREEMENT. ECIA AGREED TO PUT SOMEONE IN THE CITY HALL OFFICE AT LEAST ONE DAY A WEEK. THE OFFICE PROBLEM DEVELOPED AFTER THE MAQUOKETA HOUSING DIRECTOR FOR MANY YEARS, "MIM" BROWN , WAS FIRED FOR ALLEGEDLY STEALING $50,000 OVER THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF FROM THE MAQUOKETA HOUSING AUTHORITY.
